Rainbow in a Jar

by - May 20, 2011

Trying to keep my three year old busy and AWAY from TV isn't a mean feat. With a four month old to take care, the task becomes even more difficult. While trying to find kids' craft ideas, I came across flax&twine. The blog has really cool craft ideas like making a paper purse, finger knitting etc . One of my favourite posts was the one called 'Rainbow in a Jar'. I knew I had to try it out soon. Couple of days later, we got busy...

Talha had a lot of fun. He couldn't stop giggling or jumping up and down. To get him more involved, I asked him what colour he wanted and he would get a chalk for me. I love to see the twinkle in his eyes when he is really happy and excited. It fills me up with so much of love and gratitude...

We were planning to fill a couple of jars, but we ran out of salt. ha! We had only four (or maybe five) colours of chalk too. :( By the time we were done, his aunt came in for a quick visit. He quickly grabbed the jar and started showing it off.
