Sorry for the poor quality photo. It's late night now and I don't have the patience to wait until tomorrow morning. ;)

This is my entry to Studio Calico's weekly challenge. The challenge was to use colours of the rainbow red, orange, yellow, green, and blue on a layout. I was inspired by a layout I found  here. As soon as I saw this layout, I knew I should give it a try. I worked really hard on this layout. Maybe that's why I love it so much.

I do not have a paper trimmer. I do not have circle or flower punches. I have to trim my papers using a normal pen size cutter and ruler. I use my kids' baby food bottles as templates for circles. It bugs me a lot, especially when I don't get the perfect shape or size. Once the layout is finished, I feel good again. I remind myself that I'am new to this hobby and should give myself time. I run on a tight budget and cannot splurge money on all the products out there. I have decided to give myself a year's time and see how it goes. If I'am still scrapbooking, a year from now, I would buy myself all the tools I want. :)

Coming back to the layout - I made those flowers using some felt in my stash and Echo Park Summer Days Pattern Paper. I glued the felt, paper, stickers and button using foam squares to give it some added dimension.

I also used a new water colour misting technique which I learnt from here. I used fabric paint since I didn't have any water colour. If you look closely, you could see it in the picture below.

The above three pictures were taken before Aisha's photo was glued on.

Journalling -
Ten fingers,
Ten toes
She's laughter and teardrops
So small and brand new
And amazingly angelic
She's sent to bless you
She's one special Baby
The best of life's treasure
And will grant and bless you
Many hours of great pleasure.
