Altered Photo Frames from Ikea

by - November 23, 2011

I'am participating in a charity sale coming up in January and the project given to me by the organizers are 'altered frames'. I've been searching around looking for some inspiration and except for a couple of ideas on Pinterest, nothing else has caught my fancy.

I made these frames yesterday just to get started and see how things go. The first one was made by stamping a background on Kraft cardstock and then using a washi tape (from Studio Calico's Field Guide Kit) to give it a border. Chipboards elements are from Jenni Bowlin and I simply inked, stamped and embossed them.

Chipboard alphas in the second frame is also from Jenni Bowlin. I simply rubbed them on Jenni Bowlin, inkpads - chicken feed, speckled egg and spice packet - and glued them on a coordinating cardstock. I'am not happy with the alignment of the alphabets here, but that's OK. I can live with it. ;)

Do you have any altered frame projects that you would like to share? I could really use some inspiration! :)
