Ramadan Journal: Day 2: Prayer/Mercy

by - July 21, 2012

If you are here for the first time, kindly read this post on Journal your Ramadan to understand this series better. Jazakumullah khair.

On to second day of Ramadan...

Before I write further, let me apologize. I made a mistake in my photo prompt list. Today was supposed to be about 'prayer / mercy' instead of 'prayer / forgive'. The idea behind these prompts were to use three duas of three ashras of Ramadan (one dua each ten days). I mixed up the one to be recited during first ten days with the one to be recited during the second ten days... It really doesn't make a difference as long as we recite the duas.. Still..

"O! My Lord, forgive and have Mercy and You are the Best of Merciful." (Al-Mu’minun 23: 118)

Last night I sat and did the journaling for my album and also decided which photo to use and in what format. Without the album its' a bit difficult, but I've no choice but to adjust. Albums might take two more weeks to reach here (everyone being busy with CHA in USA).

I downloaded this free journal tags from Crystal Wilkerson and after printing them on regular paper, glued them to a cardstock to make it sturdy. I'am using pattern papers in my stash for the album along with October Afternoon's Sidewalk 8x8 Pad and MME Dolled Up 6x6 Pad. 6x6 pads are pretty easy to play with, especially for mini albums. In the photo above, I've used a 6x6 sheet to write the Dua on. The October Afternoon sheet is just a background for the photo.

This is how my album would look like (hopefully)...

Here are few photos I clicked today...

    1. Hi Renu

Thank you very much! :) I'am glad to know you are enjoying my posts. I'am still getting a hang of it as it's the first time I'am actually doing a journal on Ramadan. I will include more details in future posts. :)

And no, you are not asking too much at all! I love talking about my culture and religion.. just didn't want to get 'preachy'. ;)

Ramadan Kareem to you and family
