Vyaavee

by - February 12, 2013

I've been caught up with so much of work lately - mainly due to procrastinating and keeping things for last minute. The other night I put everything on hold and decided to take a break - a crafty break. I pulled out a white cardstock, all the mists I have, October Afternoon's Cakewalk Collection kit, some embellies and started playing.

Although this page looks very simple, it took me about two hours or so to figure out what to and how to go about. Yes, the misting was easy. But where to place the photos (I had four initially), what to do with the papers..

Then I realized, I just have to ditch the papers this time (I'am going to use those, I promise) and keep it very very simple. I love how it turned out. A bit messy, but still clean and colourful. Just like Aisha and me. ;)

Vyaavee is a song that Aisha composed herself. Not much of a song, but I would still like to call it that. When we were back home on vacation, she came up with these syllables and would sing it over and over - whenever she was happy. Talha and her cousins would sing along too. I felt it was an important part of my little lady's life and wanted to scrapbook it.

I was back in my playing mood and made one more page. There is a little left to do with it and I will share it soon. I love how de-stressing crafting can be. I was back to my cheery self and it showed in my work too.

All supplies are from Pretty Paper Studio, except the flair which is from findingnana.com.

See you soon
