Ramadan Journal 2013: Day 8: Handwriting

by - July 18, 2013

If you are here for the first time, kindly read this post on Journal your Ramadan to understand this series better. Jazakumullah khair.

I love sending hand written notes and letters. I love receiving them too. Who doesn't? I love how it adds our own personal touch to a gift or card. I know a lot of people who shy away from using their handwriting on journals, cards, scrapbooks etc. Yes, not all of us are blessed with beautiful cursive calligraphy like hand writing. But it is ours. And that makes it unique.

I'am currently taking Ali Edwards' Hello Story online workshop. I love Ali and her style of story telling. She is one of the reasons why I started scrapbooking. As much as I love to play with crafty goodies, it is the story behind photos that I'am more keen on.

I loved doing this page for week two. A simple page with some basic information about myself. While filling the blanks I realized that I had forgotten some facts about myself. I had to call up my mom and ask the time I was born. I do not have any photos of childhood with me now. There are plenty back at our house in India (I got to get some here). Thankfully my sister had some photos saved and she came to my immediate rescue. What would the world be without family!

I don't know whether you have noticed, but as a child I had few least favorite dishes. But now, I have none. That shows I have grown up, right?

See you soon Insha Allah.
