Suddenly I'am in a mood to share few photos from our trip to Venice. We were in Italy for two weeks in early April of 2010. Alhamdulillah, we got to see Rome, Tivoli, Florence, Siena, Pisa, and Venice.
I don't think my words and photos would do any justice to Italy. It is a country that everyone should visit before they die. The food, the people, the scenic beauty... Everything will just blow your mind away. What attracted me most about Italy (apart from food of course) was how welcoming they are towards children. Talha had just turned two at that time. By the time we got back to Dubai, he had learned to say Ciao and few other Italian words. Everyone would look at him and go wild. Which, needless to say, made this mom very happy and at ease in a foreign country.
Even in the numbing cold, Talha couldn't stop eating gelatos! The weather was really pleasant in Rome and Florence. I didn't wear my jackets much. But in Venice! Oh good Lord! That was quite a shock for this Indian who lives in Dubai.
View from the Grand Canal. One could just stand there gazing forever and ever..
We found this library by accident. It is called The Libreria Acqua Alta.
I would love to go back again someday. Insha Allah.
Have you been to Venice? Do you have a favorite memory from any of your travels?
