As I’am sitting here, eating a sweet omelette topped with some raspberries past midnight and contemplating on what my next blog post should be, I have this sudden urge to make a list. I'am turning thirty in few days and what did I learn so far?
I remember how, few years back, I was really worried about turning thirty. In our culture, thirty is really old. If you are a female and not married by thirty or if you do not have any babies by thirty, you are doomed. Yes, it is that serious. And I grew up with that notion hovering around my mind. So I thought turning thirty meant turning really old. Heck, I remember how some relatives started calling me ‘old’ when I turned twenty five. Twenty Five!
But then it started changing. I remember when I started a book club, most members would congratulate me on starting something new at a young age. I was twenty five. I was shocked. When I launched PPS, I was again congratulated for starting a business at a young age. I was twenty eight. I was still shocked at being called young, but I was kind of getting used to the idea of me not being old.
