Day 14 - Noon

I love my husband and children, but boy do I need a break from them every now and then! I sit down to eat my breakfast after feeding them, they want my chai or they start bargaining on screen time. There's an 'emergency' every time I go to the toilet. They are everywhere, wherever I go! You think I will catch a break once they get older. Nope!

So I decided to give myself a break and stepped out this afternoon with my camera thinking I will go to my usual walking spot to get some pictures taken. But the light was harsh and there was still over an hour left for sunset. So I went to Raju Omlet instead, ordered Chicken Tikka Egg Roll - paraata lined with omelet and stuffed with spicy hot chicken tikka pieces and Adrak Chai (Ginger Tea) as takeaway. I then drove down to an empty parking lot, sat in my car and gobbled them up (I am not fasting). Yes, this is the length I have to go to eat in peace sometimes. Just as I finished my roll, guilt started kicking in so I went home and fed them theirs.

Those without children (yet) might read this and think how dreadful our lives are, but as every mother would say, I wouldn't have it any other way. Alhamdulillah.
